(v) “pot kettle black” is purely a response to a (sub-)cultural phenomenon, and is not intended to be taken seriously. the images are not of a high quality, and are only indicative of gay porn, to be used as a response to the overwhelming amount of sexualized japanese imagery on tumblr. they are not commercially viable, and no income whatsoever is being made via their display; those entities responsible for the production of these images have legally allowed portions of their films to be distributed for public use, and due to the nature of “pot kettle black” in general, no legal action can be taken against “pot kettle black” or tumblr and its related associates. appropriation is a legal cultural trend, and any attempt to sue “pot kettle black” for the material shown on it is equivalent to attempting to sue postmodernism and the contemporary condition itself.
(vi) those tumblr followers who choose to follow “pot kettle black” must understand that the material shown is explicit, and is guaranteed not safe for work. those concerned that “pot kettle black” will flood their dashboards with inappropriate material need not worry; no more than a handful of images will be uploaded each week.
(vii) tumblr’s terms of service specifically prevents pornographic content from being displayed, however pornography is “the explicit depiction of sexual subject matter, especially with the sole intention of sexually exciting the viewer”, which i believe is similar to the softcore pornographic japanese tumblrs. those who do not agree that softcore pornographic japanese tumblrs are explicit must take time to evaluate the age of the girls displayed.
(viii) “pot kettle black” is compliant with tumblr’s content policy.
(ix) i will cooperate with tumblr and its related associates should “pot kettle black” be determined noncompliant with tumblr’s terms of service. i can only envisage this occurring under some degree of a double standard due to the softcore japanese pornography that is already well entrenched throughout the tumblr community.
